Start your adventure opposite the Northern Rivers Rail Trail in Mooball. Enjoy a self-guided ride through the hinterland at your own pace. (This is a self-guided ride. We provide bike hire, and optional transport only.)

We provide suggested route option to include full The Rail Tail to Murwillumbah, passing through the 524m Burringbar Range tunnel (with glow worms) and over many old bridges). After exiting the trail at Murwillumbah, cross the river and head off through the cane fields to Condong then on through the Hinterland to enjoy a well earned craft beer at Earth Beer Company

Optional return transport is available from Earth Beer Company.

About the Rail Trail

The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is a 24km purpose built bike trail following the old Casino to Murwillumbah railway line through the Tweed hinterland.

• All bikes have puncture proof tyres, mud guards and gel seats
• If you can ride a bike, you can ride one of our E Bikes.
• WARNING! once you try an E Bike you will want to buy one! (and we sell them too!)

• Our E Bike Hires start at Mooball, opposite the southern end of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail (easiest access from Byron Bay, Lennox Heads, Ballina etc). 30 mins from Byron Bay.
• You have plenty of time for the ride and something to eat at Earth Beer Company.
• We provide - awesome E Bike, approved GIRO helmet, lock & pannier or backpack, navigation via our custom smartphone app.
• You need - closed shoes (trainers ideal), water bottle and appropriate exercise clothing & fully charged smartphone
