Returns & Refunds Policy

At Beyond Byron E-Bikes, we want you to be confident in your purchase. We comply with the Australian Consumer Law, which guarantees your rights in relation to faulty or misrepresented goods.

This policy explains when you are eligible for a refund, replacement, or repair, and how returns are handled.

Faulty or Not as Described

You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if your item:

  • Has a manufacturing fault,

  • Is defective, or

  • Does not match the description provided at the time of purchase.

If you believe your product is faulty or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assess the issue.

Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind

  • Incorrect choice

  • Misordered items

  • Deciding the product is no longer wanted

This includes all bikes, accessories, and equipment.

Return Shipping — Who Pays?

To keep things clear and fair:

If the product is faulty or not as described:

  • We cover the cost of return shipping or collection.

  • We will arrange and pay for transport, or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.

If the product is not faulty:

  • You are responsible for all return shipping costs.

  • Unauthorised returns will not be accepted.

This approach complies with Australian Consumer Law requirements for faulty goods.

How to Start a Return

Please email us at steve@beyondbyronebikes.com.au with:

  1. Your name

  2. Proof of purchase

  3. A description of the issue

  4. Photos or video showing the fault (if applicable)

We will respond with the next steps, including assessment and return instructions.

Return Conditions

  • All returns must be authorised before being sent back.

  • Items must be returned in the same condition as supplied, unless deemed faulty.

  • Warranty repairs are handled according to manufacturer guidelines (FOCUS, Kalkhoff, Tern).

  • If a product needs to be assessed by the manufacturer or wholesaler before approval, we will advise you of the expected turnaround.
